This policy describes how TVMatch handles information during its soft launch. It is an operational draft pending owner and legal review.
Information TVMatch stores
When you sign in, TVMatch stores your Google account identifier, verified email address, display name, optional profile image, secure session records, group memberships, invitations, streaming preferences, swipe decisions, shared picks, and watchlist actions.
How information is used
TVMatch uses this information to sign you in, keep groups separate, create shared picks only when the group agrees, remember watchlists, prevent abuse, and support account deletion. TVMatch does not sell personal information.
Service providers
Google provides identity verification. OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare provide hosting and database infrastructure. TMDB supplies media catalog data, and streaming availability is supplied through TMDB using JustWatch data. Each provider processes information under its own terms.
Cookies and security
TVMatch uses secure, HTTP-only cookies for sign-in sessions and short-lived OAuth validation. Sessions expire and can be revoked by signing out or deleting the account.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while the account is active. You can initiate deletion from Account settings. Authentication identities, sessions, memberships, and personal swipe history are removed; group-owned shared history may remain for other members where appropriate.
